Nelson Honey Honeycomb comes straight from the hive. The series of hexagonal cells constructed from beeswax by the brilliance of our bees contain natural raw honey. This means, that honey retains its carbohydrates and is full of flavours and aromas, with the beautiful texture of the natural edible wax.
Honey comes in different forms, the most common of which is liquid honey. Honey is also sold with chunks of the honeycomb in the jar. You can even buy a whole piece of honeycomb with the honey inside as it’s a unique way to present honey on a cheese plate.
Beeswax is a product made from the honeycomb of the honeybee and other bees. The mixing of pollen oils into honeycomb wax turns the white wax into a yellow or brown color.
Enjoy the Nelson Honey Honeycomb from the pure environment of New Zealand. You can eat it as-is, or spread on warm bread or on top of your salad or oatmeal.
